15 most influential albums

I wrote this up a little while ago but then had some flu virus thing so it’s been sitting in drafts.  I was going to be flash and put pics / youtube vids in but… just going to publish it and get it out now 🙂

I suppose I chose these albums because I love the whole album and they have stayed with me – I still listen to all of these.  Izlain started the whole thing off and he’s linked to the other who have taken part.

  1. Nowhere ~ Ride
  2. Tab ~ Monster Magnet
  3. Yerself is steam ~ Mercury Rev
  4. OK Computer ~ Radiohead
  5. Dust ~ Screaming Trees
  6. The orb’s adventures through the ultraworld ~ The Orb
  7. Dry ~ PJ Harvey
  8. The Stone Roses ~ The Stone Roses

  1. I need some Therapy today 🙂
Nice list…I am still working on a mammoth book post so better not start on a music one, which could have me tied down for years!

  2. thanks for the comments 🙂 yeah… it was hard narrowing it down to 15 and I am still mulling over whether I should have put Mezzanine in somewhere, My Bloody Valentine maybe should have been there, Radiohead and Screaming Trees could have just put their whole back catalogue in, I missed off Alice in Chains. Didn’t even get started on stuff like Janis Joplin or Pink Floyd even…

psychocandy… sublime album – takes me straight back to the sixth form 😀
